Intralinks has been in the market since 1996, and its pricing reflects a client base of banks, funds and regulated institutions with procurement teams, security reviews and long retention obligations. There is no published price and no free trial in our records. A quote arrives after scoping, and for many buyers the procurement process around it takes longer than the room set-up.
For an institution, the room fee is only part of the cost. Records may have to be kept for years after a deal closes, which turns archive format and retention into budget items. Our records also show no AI tools, API or built-in e-signature, so any of those needs would be met by other systems with their own costs.
How Intralinks bills
Pricing is by quote. Rooms of this type are commonly priced on a mix of document volume, users and term, and the basis for each charge is the first thing to establish: per page, per user, per gigabyte of storage, or a fixed fee. Once you know the basis, you can tell which part of your deal will move the price, whether that is a large scanned archive, a long list of bidders, or a timetable that keeps slipping.

Intralinks cost scenarios
Long processes and post-close retention are where quoted rooms surprise people. The grid assumes institutional document volumes and sets a market estimate, not an Intralinks figure, against what the closest published-price room would charge over three, six and twelve months. Whichever number you use, add the cost of keeping a complete archive for your retention period.
| Team | Intralinks quote, our estimate |
|---|---|
| 5 users 20,000 pages | $5,000 to $15,000 |
| 25 users 60,000 pages | $9,000 to $36,000 |
| 100 users 150,000 pages | $22,500 to $90,000 |
Estimate: our model, not Intralinks's; USD, pre-tax, assumed page counts. For a term check, CapLinked at $299/mo would run $897, $1,794, $3,588 for 3, 6, 12 months at any of these team sizes.
What moves a Intralinks quote
- Charge basis. Per page, per user, per gigabyte or a fixed fee: each basis punishes a different kind of deal. Establish it first.
- Retention. Years of post-close access or an archive in a specific format can turn into a separate line. Price it upfront.
- Procurement. Security reviews and vendor onboarding inside an institution take time, and sometimes add service scope to the quote.
Intralinks pricing against its closest rivals
Datasite, Ansarada and SmartRoom are the profiles most like Intralinks on features, scores and billing. Each is costed for the same institutional transaction.
| Provider | Price basis | Trial | This room | Features |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Intralinks | Quote | No | Not published | 8/12 |
| Quote | No | Not published | 10/12 | |
| Quote | Yes | Not published | 8/12 | |
| Quote | No | Not published | 7/12 |
Datasite, Ansarada and SmartRoom quote as well; price all of them from one written brief. Intralinks lacks ai features, which most of them list.
Evaluating without a free trial
Intralinks lists no trial; evaluation runs through demos and, for institutions, through a security review. Ask for the security documentation early, because it often sets the timeline more than the commercial discussion does.
Questions to settle before you sign
- What is the basis for each charge: pages, users, storage or a fixed project fee?
- How long is the archive retained after close, in what format, and at what cost?
- What is the extension rate per month if the transaction runs beyond the quoted term?
- Can the quote be issued in your reporting currency with tax shown separately?
The Intralinks price is easiest to defend inside institutions whose procurement and compliance teams already know the platform and whose retention needs it fits. For a one-off transaction outside that setting, put the quote next to the market estimate on this page and ask whether the institutional overhead is something your deal will use.
Intralinks pricing FAQ
How much does Intralinks cost?
Intralinks quotes rather than lists. Our model's estimate for a institutional transaction (50,000 pages) is $7,500 to $30,000.
How is an Intralinks room priced?
By quote. Ask for the basis of each charge, such as pages, users or storage, and for the monthly extension rate, so the quote can be compared with other rooms.
Is there an Intralinks free trial?
We have no trial on record. Institutions usually evaluate through demos and a security review.
