iDeals does not publish prices. Quotes are prepared per project and, in practice, reflect the number of users, the storage the deal will need and the expected length of the process. For a buyer, that means the first number arrives after a scoping call, and the quality of that number depends on the quality of the brief you give.
The feature set explains where the quote sits. Our records show built-in redaction, single sign-on, an API and document rights control, a combination that appears more often in quoted enterprise rooms than in published plans. Strong support is part of the proposition too, and support time is priced into a quote even when it never appears as a line.
How iDeals bills
A quote is not one model but a container for several. Some project quotes are a fixed fee for an agreed term, others combine a base fee with charges for storage or users above a threshold, and extension months may be priced differently from the original term. Because iDeals quotes per project, the job is to make the structure visible: ask which variables move the price and by how much, before you compare it with any other room.

iDeals cost scenarios
Without a list price, the most useful budget is a range for a room of your size. The grid shows that range by team size, built from the same model as our calculator and labelled as an estimate rather than an iDeals figure, then what the nearest room with a published price would charge the same team, so an iDeals quote has something concrete to beat.
| Team | iDeals quote, our estimate |
|---|---|
| 5 users 10,000 pages | $5,000 to $15,000 |
| 25 users 35,000 pages | $5,250 to $21,000 |
| 100 users 80,000 pages | $12,000 to $48,000 |
Estimate: our model, not iDeals's; USD, pre-tax, assumed page counts. For a term check, Ellty at $149/mo would run $447, $894, $1,788 for 3, 6, 12 months at any of these team sizes.
What moves a iDeals quote
- Users and groups. Every bidder group, adviser team and internal reviewer adds logins and permission work. Count them honestly before the scoping call.
- Storage. Scanned contracts and financial archives grow faster than expected. Ask where the storage threshold sits and what crossing it costs.
- Term. Mid-market sales often run a month or two past plan. The extension rate matters as much as the headline fee.
iDeals pricing against its closest rivals
Intralinks, Datasite and Ansarada are the profiles most like iDeals on features, scores and billing. Each is costed for the same mid-market company sale.
| Provider | Price basis | Trial | This room | Features |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| iDeals | Quote | Yes | Not published | 9/12 |
| Quote | No | Not published | 8/12 | |
| Quote | No | Not published | 10/12 | |
| Quote | Yes | Not published | 8/12 |
Intralinks, Datasite and Ansarada quote as well; price all of them from one written brief. Only iDeals lists api in this group. iDeals lacks ai features, which most of them list.
Free trial
iDeals can be trialled ahead of any quote, and the order matters: a team that has built part of its index in the trial knows how many users and how much storage it will need, which makes the scoping call shorter and the quote more precise.
Questions to settle before you sign
- Is the quote a fixed project fee, or a base fee plus storage and user charges?
- What is the monthly rate if the deal runs past the agreed term?
- Is the quote available in your reporting currency, and is tax included?
- Are redaction, single sign-on and the API all inside the quoted scope?
An iDeals quote is worth requesting when the controls in its feature set, such as redaction and single sign-on, are requirements rather than preferences, and when hands-on support during the process has real value to your team. Request it with a written brief, ask for the same brief to be priced by one published-price room, and compare the two line by line.
iDeals pricing FAQ
How much does iDeals cost?
iDeals quotes rather than lists. Our model's estimate for a mid-market company sale (15,000 pages) is $5,000 to $15,000.
Why does iDeals not publish a price?
iDeals quotes per project, and the price depends on users, storage and term. Use our market estimate as a reference point and ask for the structure of the quote in writing.
Can I try iDeals before getting a quote?
Yes. Our records list a free trial for iDeals, which is a good way to size your room before the commercial discussion.
